Our Assessment Process
At Everest Clinic every assessment is unique, tailored to meet YOUR needs. Our mission is to provide you with the most accurate diagnosis, in the shortest time and at the best cost possible. Our assessments, led by experienced Clinical Psychologists, are organised into a four-stage process, based on the Gold Standards from UK NICE Guidelines - methods and procedures which are widely accepted as being the best available to test for and treat mental health conditions.
In addition to our standard Assessment Process, we also offer a Priority Service option, for those in need of urgent support. See further detail of each stage below and feel free to contact us. We are here to help.
Free Discovery Call
Booking your first meeting is easy with our 24/7 booking service.
Book your preferred time and a member of our team will call you back to discuss your needs and assign the best Psychologists to support you on this journey.
The discovery call is free of charge and often takes around 20 minutes. That's a great opportunity to ask your main questions.
I - Clinical Interview and Screening
During this ‘in person’ consultation our Clinical Psychologist will walk you through a structured clinical interview, investigating your presenting problems and the impact they have on the different areas of your life. This session may take up to two hours. The objective of this assessment is to understand your case in depth and define whether you need to progress to the next stage, the diagnostic assessment.
II - Diagnostic Assessment
The Diagnostic Assessment is specially designed to investigate your condition, how intensely your life is impacted and whether other comorbidities may occur. This stage, always ‘in person’, can be completed in 1 or 2 sessions of up to two hours, and can include a school visit, depending on the pathway of ADHD, Autism or Combined Assessment, and depending on which tests and standards are more suitable for your needs.
III - Diagnostic Report
A few weeks after your assessment sessions, you will receive your detailed Diagnostic Report. The report will include the Clinical Psychologist diagnostic opinion, detailed analysis of your presenting problems, clinical observations collected during the sessions, tests results with scores and graphics, recommendations for the client and family and proposed reasonable adjustments to improve your life at home and school or work.
IV - Return Session
A few days after receiving your Diagnostic Report, you will have a return session with your Clinical Leader. This is an opportunity to go through the report and discuss any questions you have. This meeting will last around 30 minutes and can be delivered online.
